The Decision to run for elective office
Not content to leave well enough alone, after seven years of volunteering for the county I decided
to make a run for County Commissioner. I was well qualified, both in education and experience. The
cost seemed not excessive and the rewards of giving back to the community that gave me its start were
great. Just being good is not enough. As it turns out, loosing was probably a good thing.
